This web site is being maintained during the transition period, but will be shut down once all relevant information has been transferred to the Bellerive Yacht Club web site.  

Lindisfarne Sailing Club was a family based sailing club, and had offered sailing for adults and children since 1955. Unfortunately, in 2024, issues regarding our clubhouse condition, insurance, and the volunteer commitment required to continue the club’s operations resulted in us struggling to keep the club operational. Bellerive Yacht Club (BYC) offered Lindisfarne Sailing Club members the opportunity to sail from BYC for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons. In December 2025, our members made the difficult decision to permanently close Lindisfarne Sailing Club and merge our sailing activities with those of BYC.  We are sad to see our club and its proud history come to an end.  However, this decision provides an opportunity to strengthen dinghy sailing on the River Derwent eastern shore.
