We are closing.

Lindisfarne Sailing Club is a family based sailing club, and has offered sailing for adults and children since 1955. Unfortunately, recent issues regarding our clubhouse condition, insurance, and the volunteer commitment required to continue the club’s operations have resulted in us struggling to keep the club operational. Bellerive Yacht Club (BYC) has been sympathetic to our situation, and offered Lindisfarne Sailing Club members the opportunity to sail from BYC for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons. BYC has been the organising authority for all races and sailing training conducted from BYC during the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons.   

In December 2025, our members made the difficult decision to permanently close Lindisfarne Sailing Club and merge our sailing activities with those of BYC.  We are sad to see our club and its proud history come to an end.  However, this decision provides an opportunity to strengthen dinghy sailing on the River Derwent eastern shore.

For the remainder of the 2025-26 sailing season, this web site will continue to be updated to include race results and provide a link to temporary “SailPass” Australian Sailing membership.
